Service Description

Bison Roast! 5:30pm - 9:00pm Marion will place one of our bulls on a spit for the day and slow roast him to perfection for the feast! Come check out the herd, enjoy a spectacular meal, and sip local brews by the fire! Other local growers will also be featured throughout the dinner. The bison herd will be pastured next to the event barn that evening, with only a gate between your table and these amazing beasts! Dinner will be served at 7pm. Included with your ticket is also the opportunity to be a part of harvesting the bull. Marion and local butcher Seth Lucas will lead a group of us through the entire process the day before the feast, Oct 8th. He will humanely put the animal down, bleed him, eviscerate him, remove the hide, and prepare him for the spit. This is true food transparency at its best, something we at Riffle Farms strongly believe in - it's part of who we are as a business. The afternoon will be graphic, but educational. Come prepared with rubber boots and a clean cooking smock/apron. Gloves will be provided. Stay & Play!! Make it a full weekend! We offer campsites that can be booked through HipCamp and RV sites that can be booked through Harvest Hosts!!
