A handful of recipes for ground bison

Super Simple & Family Friendly ;)

Did you know that you can substitute ground bison for any recipe that calls for ground beef or ground turkey??

Buffalero Chili

2lbs ground bison

1 can fire roasted tomatoes

1 can red kidney beans

1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce

1 cup minced white onion, pan fried

Sprinkle of salt & pepper

Put all ingredients together in crock pot or instapot. Cook on low for at least 4 hours in crock pot, 2 hours in instapot. Serve with shredded cheese topping.

Hillbilly Bacon Burgers

Get you some hillbilly bacon! (Basically fatty ham bits cut from just beside the bacon)

2 lbs ground bison

2 eggs

1 tsp minced garlic

Sprinkle of salt & pepper

Mix ground bison, eggs, garlic, salt and pepper. Make 6 patties. Pan fry or grill patties until medium in the middle. Pan fry hillbilly bacon. Place bacon pieces on top of burgers and finish off with a lightly buttered brioche bun. Onions are a delectable addition to these burgers as well!
