‘‘Tis the Season for Bone Broth

It’s finally Fall!! I love Fall!! And I love Fall beverages and hardy meals.

Here is my Simple Sunday Bison Bone Broth recipe and tutorial that makes a great beverage or meal ;)

Recipe:

- approx. 4 lbs bison bones

- 4 cups water

- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

- 1/4 cup olive oil (omit for super low fat version)

- 1 sprig rosemary (or 1 tbsp finely chopped)

- salt and pepper to taste

Put all ingredients into a crock pot and let simmer on low for 12 hours.

- one small white onion

- 7 stalks celery

At the 12 hour mark, take the bones and large pieces of cartilage out of the pot (give to your favorite pup when cooled). Chop the veggies and add to the crock. Simmer for another 6-12 hours, depending on how soft you would like your veggies.

Enjoy this healthy elixir alone as a drink or use as a hardy soup starter!
