From Bedside to Barnside

Updated: Jun 8, 2018

Maybe it was turning 30, maybe it was the allure of finally being my own boss, maybe it was the soft wind blowing up through the Terra Alta ridge lines, or maybe it was the Wild & Wonderful freedom...

I have been a Registered Nurse for about eight years, but I have been assisting pregnant women at the bedside for well over a decade. I started my healthcare career as an apprentice with a midwife attending home births at the age of 18. I am currently still a labor & delivery nurse, and this is my story of transitioning from being at the bedside to being at the barnside :)
